If you want to make great money follow these steps:
1. Go through the field engineering role and learn as much as you can.
2. Adopt a personal organization system.
3. Learn how to work with a team by reading How To Win Friends & Influence People and Leadership & Self-deception.
4. Learn to use technology.
5. Find a way to motivate and lead people.
6. Get as much training as you possible can every year. 1.5k minimum of external training.
7. Read a book a week or at least every month.
8. Get two great projects under your belt that were successful.
