When people hear this title, many think of Luffy from One Piece. And that makes sense. Luffy lives in a world overflowing with temptation, yet lust has no grip on his heart. Even when he meets Boa Hancock, whose beauty literally turns men to stone, Luffy remains untouched and unmoved.

But this video is not about Luffy.

The anime that truly changed my life was Hunter x Hunter.
And the character wasn’t Gon.
It was Kurapika.

Kurapika became a Hunter not for adventure or glory, but for revenge. His entire clan was slaughtered by the Phantom Troupe (Genei Ryodan). Their eyes were stolen. Their bodies left behind. All Kurapika carried was grief, rage, and purpose.

When he finally faced the Phantom Troupe, his first target was Uvogin. A monster of raw strength. Bullets couldn’t stop him. Explosions barely scratched him. Entire armies fell before him.

Kurapika didn’t win because he was stronger.
He won because he was willing to lose everything.

Through Vows and Restrictions, Kurapika placed a chain around his own heart. If he ever used his power on anyone outside the Phantom Troupe, the chain would pierce his heart and kill him instantly. No excuses. No mercy. Power in exchange for his life.

And that’s when it hit me.

What if I applied the same principle to my own battle with porn?

I made a vow. A restriction.
In my mind, the moment I watched porn, a dagger would pierce my heart.
No exemptions.
No “just one more time.”
No rationalization.

That fear rewired my mind.
From the day I made that pact with myself, porn never passed through my eyes again.

I know many of us are imprisoned by this addiction, from habits that seem “small” to the darkest places imaginable. But there is hope. Keep fighting. Keep resisting. And God, in His perfect wisdom, will always provide a way of escape.

“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind.
And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear.
But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”

You are not alone.
And freedom is possible.
