38% of Kenyans are cautiously optimistic but deeply divided about the opposition’s ability to unite behind a single presidential candidate in the 2027 polls. According to a recent poll by Trends and Insights For Africa (TIFA) Research conducted between 10th to 17th of November, majority of Kenyans cited their concern with the united opposition for not declaring their preferred candidate early ahead of the polls. The poll conducted across the 47 devolved units revealed that ODM party is grappling with division especially after the demise of their long-serving leader Raila Odinga.
