In Kazakhstan, Russian President Vladimir Putin praises China-Russia relations while meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization meeting in Astana.

And in Jamaica, Prime Minister Andrew Holness declares the island a seven-day disaster area in preparation for the arrival of Hurricane Beryl.
