For me, cricket is a sport that I know very little about and so I was really keen to speak to someone involved in the sport from an analysis perspective to learn more about what really goes on.

James has worked at academy level but is currently first team analyst at Northamptonshire County Cricket Club. James talks about the types of things cricket analysts focus on, how much opposition analysis is done, and gives some great advice.

James also has an interest in rugby too, and he actually is a qualified referee. This then leads us on to the importance of transferrable skills between different sports.
