The easiest nymph you may tie all year (Dave Hughes' Midge Nymph)

From Dave Hughes' "Nymphs for Streams and Stillwaters," his Midge Nymph was inspired by one of Ed Koch's patterns in his 1972 book "Fishing the Midge." The pattern is simple, and generic enough that it makes a decent imitation for all sorts of nymphs- from mayflies, to caddis, to scuds and even crustaceans.

Hook: #12-24 curved shank
Thread: Black, or to match the body
Weight: 0.015-0.020 diameter
Rib: Wire, color of your choice
Body: Any fur dubbing
