"Stoney Burke" is a 1962-63 TV series about the life and adventures of a rodeo cowboy. Jack Lord ("Hawaii 5-0") had the title role. Supporting cast members include noted character actor Warren Oates ("The Wild Bunch") and Robert (Bob) Dowdell, who later appeared as Commander Chip Morton on "Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea." Bruce Dern also appeared in a few episodes as one of Stoney's buddies.

The series was produced by Leslie Stevens; a year later, he brought "The Outer Limits" to the same network, ABC-TV. Fans of "The Outer Limits" will notice familiar incidental music composed by Dominic Frontiere for "Stoney Burke" that was effectively re-used in the later series.

Guest stars include Enoch Gates as "the Derelict." Sources claim that "Enoch Gates" was an alias used in this appearance by noted British actor James Mason. Additional guest stars include Paul Comi and John Kellogg.

End credits were not aired by the channel that broadcast this recording.
