When you reach Leh city it is advisable to stay in the city and take rest for atleast 1-2 days to acclimatise ( To make your body used to the current environment ). When you feel better you have two options, Weather to start your journey from Leh tourist attractions or Start your journey to long routes like Nubra valley, Pangong lake or Tsomoriri.
We started our journey from Day 2 and Left Leh city at around 9:00 am to Nubra valley.
After traveling for around 40 kms we reached world’s second highest pass- Khardungla Pass which is at a height of 17582 ft. And we were advised not to stay for more than 20 minutes because of high altitude. Oxygen level is very low in high passes.

We then left for our next stop, Khalsar which is a small village and good place for a launch. Khalsar is also good for Atv ride so in case you don’t want to miss such beautiful ride on the mountains, Atv ride is a must doable in Khalsar.

From Khalsar, The roads are divided into two directions- One is in the direction of Shyok river and other is in the direction of Nubra river.
Shyok river nearby attractions are the best in Nubra valley so we decided to visit places like Diskit Monestary, Hunder and Turtuk village.

After 22 kms of travel, We reached Diskit Monestary where we saw a 33 metre long Lord Buddha statue at the top of the Monestary. From that point you could see a 360 degree view of Nubra valley and Hunder village.

And then we left for the last tourist attraction of the day which is Sand dunes of Hunder, 8-10 kms from Diskit Monestary.
Sand dunes of hunder is one of the best tourist attractions for Landscape, Double hump camel ride and Atv ride. In Sand dunes we spent like 1 hour to see the sunset and left for desert camp which was 2-3 km from Sand dunes.
During camping we do not face any issues of electricity and hot water as the temperature was in minus and the location was outside main areas of hunder.
The next morning we took our breakfast and left for Turtuk village which was 80 km from Hunder.
