You can create any scene with a surface and an object on top of it. Use an Arnold surface shader as the surface material.

In this example I have an xGen mocap character in the scene which reflects in the polished ground. We play with several shader parameters which have to do with the reflectivity, mainly the "specularity" and "metalness". Before rendering you might also want to check the Arnold render settings and set the Ray Depth values as low as possible, in order to save render time.
