Old Grandad Bottled In Bond - a steal of a deal?

Описание к видео Old Grandad Bottled In Bond - a steal of a deal?

We're always on the hunt for cheap whiskey that, frankly, isn't just terrible. We've found a few over the years that came out surprisingly well in a blind. Enter Old Grandad Bottled In Bond. This is a bottle that we've seen floating around a bit in whiskey groups, so when we came across it for under $20, we just had to try it. Other bottled in bond bourbons we've had in this price range left something to be desired; hot, potent, and thin. Old Grandad however brings something else to the table. A solid char note offsets the hot, spicy nature and brings a cohesion between the two. That's what makes it good. Now, for us, what makes it surprising is the level of sweetness on this juice. A delectable sugar note that borders on a liqueur might throw this out of the wheelhouse of a big bourbon fiend, but gives this bottle some uniqueness that is downright tasty. Not leaving out that the price point that this sits at makes it a nice mixer as well as a sipper. It's a win in our books, buds. Cheers!

You can call us Taste Buds or the Two Guys behind the counter, it doesn't matter to us. We are two guys from Missouri doing a Craft Beer Review and a Whiskey Review (or Whisky Review depending where you are from) with a drive to always Try Something New. We won't drive you crazy with snobby tasting notes that no one else will understand, just a general idea of what the beer or food tastes like. We want YOU to join us in trying exciting new things to open our minds, and pallets, to something different. So join Chris Horn and Lyal Strickland as we foray into some suds and grains and stumble all over ourselves trying to sound smarter than they really are. Some of the things we love to try are Scotch, Bourbon, Rum, Tequila, wine, and craft beer of all kinds. We argue between Stouts and Porters, IPA and Sour, Farmhouse and Lager. I'm sure there isn't anything we won't disagree about except that we like to try new stuff.
