Laureus Sportsman of the Year 2017 - Usain Bolt

Usain Bolt accepts his award from Laureus Academy Member Michael Johnson for the Laureus Sportsman of the Year 2017 at the 2017 Laureus Sports Awards in Monaco.

Bolt is widely considered to be the greatest sprinter of all time - He is the world record holder of 100 metres, 200 metres and 4 × 100 metres relay. He is an eight-time Olympic gold medallists and is the only sprinter to win Olympic 100m and 200 m titles at three consecutive Olympics (Beijing 2008, London 2012 and Rio 2016).

An eleven-time World Champion, he won consecutive World Championships in the 100 m, 200m and 4 × 100 metres relay gold medals from 2009 to 2015, with the single exception of a 100 m false start in 2011.
