In this Youtube table Tennis coaching tutorial video, I explain how to a higher quality backhand serve. As mention in the video, in today's modern game the backhand serve is used less at the top end, this is mainly because the disguise is limited. Nevertheless, the backhand serve is still an extremely effective tool to use in your game. You can execute a different kind of sidespin and open different angles which may help you win extra points.

1. How to position yourself and the bat before point of contact
2. Variation, where to contact the ball to get different kinds of spin
3. deception - after movement making each spin look the same

Different spins are created by contacting the ball at different locations and changing the angles of your bat. This will enable you to gain extra points in match play and help you in expanding your service repertoire
