Chicken Biryani at home in simple and easy steps

INGREDIENTS:

Chicken Marination

1 kg Cleaned chicken pieces
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
2 tsp Salt
1 spoon Red chilli powder
1 spoon Coriander powder
1 tsp Garam Masala Powder
2 tsp Ginger garlic paste
4 Green Cardamom
2 inch Cinnamon
5 Clove
5 Black Pepper
1 Aniseed
2 stems Mint leaves
2 stems Coriander Leaves
1 tsp Tandoori Paste (Optional)
1 small cup Yogurt

Chicken Biryani Ingredients

1 tsp Cumin seeds
2 Aniseed
3 or 4 Bay leaves
5 Black Pepper
5 tsp Oil
2 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
500 gm White long grain rice
1 cup Chopped onion
6 or 7 Green chilli
2 tsp Ghee
2 tsp fried onions

INSTRUCTIONS

Chicken Marination

Take 1 kg cleaned chicken pieces in to a bowl
Add 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder,2 tsp Salt, 1 spoon Red chili powder, 1 spoon Coriander powder, 1 tsp Garam Masala Powder, 2 tsp Ginger garlic paste, 4 Green Cardamom, 2 inch Cinnamon, 5 Clove, 5 Black Pepper, 1 Aniseed, some mint leaves, some coriander leaves , 1 tsp Tandoori Paste, 1 small cup Yogurt to chicken pieces
Mix all ingredients
Keep it in fridge for 20 mins. You can keep the chicken over night and cook it for lunch.

Biryani Preparation:

The first step to prepare biryani is cooking rice
Take a bowl add water to it
Add 1 tsp Cumin seeds, 2 Aniseed, 4 Bay leaves, 5 Black Pepper, 2 tsp Oil, 1 tsp Turmeric Powder and boil these with water
Add soaked (30 mins) basmati rice to hot water and let it cook for till 60 to 70%
Strain water and keep it aside. Tip: You can cook both chicken and rice in parallel.
Take biryani bowl and add 2 tsp oil or Ghee
Add chopped onions and green chilies and fry
Add marinated chicken to onions and cook it for 10 mins
Add some mint and coriander leaves
Now add cooked rice as layers on top of chicken
Add fried onions and ghee on top
Close the lid and cook the chicken for 5 mins on high flame and 20 mins on low flame.
That's it. Very tasty Chicken Biryani is ready to serve.
