In Episode 57, we sit down with vocalist/guitarist Micah Martin and lead guitarist Ace Hendrix of “pre-apocalyptic post-grunge beardcore” band The Crowning from Stroudsburg before they come to Scranton for the first time to perform at Day 1 of the NEPA Metal Meltdown festival at The V-Spot on Friday, May 4. They play a few acoustic songs live in the studio and we talk about their heavy but melodic sound, the formation of the group at an open mic, the music scene in the Poconos and Lehigh Valley, their debut EP "Red," moving to Pennsylvania, and more.
