Описание к видео How One Client Cleared Their IRS Tax Debt Through an Offer in Compromise

If you’re struggling with IRS tax debt, receiving an acceptance letter for an Offer in Compromise (OIC) can feel like a huge relief. But as I learned with a recent client, getting that OIC isn’t easy.

My client initially reached out with a hefty tax debt and asked if an OIC could help. During our free case review, I explained that, while it was worth a shot, success wasn’t guaranteed. IRS rules are complex, and many factors can influence the outcome. But she wanted to try, and we got to work.

The process, however, didn’t go smoothly. Our first OIC submission was returned because of an issue with her S Corp payroll tax fund. She addressed the issue, and we resubmitted. But the second submission was also rejected—this time because her W-4 adjustments hadn’t been made at work. Still, we believed in her case and decided to try once more.

The third time was a turning point. With everything in order—her S Corp taxes, W-4 adjustments, and tax filings—we submitted another offer. But things got complicated again: she had started a side gig, meaning her income had changed. This required multiple rounds of counters and recalculations with the IRS.

Finally, our persistence paid off. The IRS accepted an offer for $8,000—an amount my client could afford and a huge relief that erased her tax debt. We paid the initial 20% as soon as the offer was accepted, and now she has five months to complete the payments.

If you have IRS tax debt or unfiled taxes, comment “IRS tax relief.” My team can help coordinate a free one-on-one consultation to explore your options.
