Joe Root has now scored more ODI hundreds than any other English player in history, and this 2nd hundred in as many matches secured the series for the home side. Adil Rashid had earlier produced one of the great spin deliveries to remove Virat Kohli - the first time India’s captain has been dismissed by leg spin in his ODI career. Victory in this series represents a significant step for this England side, given the calibre of India’s one-day outfit.
