Wheelock NS vs. Wheelock Exceeder..Which one is better?

Recently, I compared the System Sensor Spectralert Classic, vs Spectralert Advance. Now we'll move on to the Wheelock line! Note that there are 3 generations of alarms in this line. Two of the three were shown. The NS (1998), ZNS (2006), and Exceeder (2008). Unfortunately, I don't own a ZNS. However, it's very similar to the Exceeder, excluding the design.

When comparing alarms, I compare them based on these factors:

Design/Looks (Which one looks better)? The Exceeder was given the point on this one.

Wiring/Mounting: How easy is the device to wire/mount? Once again the Exceeder wins on this one.

Mounting OPTIONS: Both of these alarms get the point. They're both designed for INDOOR WALL and have ceiling mount options.

Easiness To Select Tones: Exceeder gets the point! Find out why in the video.

Horn Clarity: The NS will win! The horns sound the exact same, so they'd both get the point, however the NS in my opinion is a lot louder than the Exceeder, which is why it will get the point.

How much does this stand out: The NS will win. It's easier to identify that it's a fire alarm from all angles, rather than only the front with the Exceeder.

OVERALL: The Exceeder wins this competition. 5 to 3.
