KCRA 3's weather team is calling Monday an Alert Day because of the potential for afternoon thunderstorms that will be capable of producing heavy rain, hail and potentially damaging winds. Monday will also be a day to watch for funnel clouds. There is also the potential for an isolated brief tornado.
