2023 Hongqi E-HS9 Deluxe in-depth Walkaround

Hongqi, which has been manufacturing state vehicles for Chinese leaders and serving the domestic market since 1958, is regarded as the pride of China's national automobile industry and an iconic symbol of China's automotive business. The Hongqi E-HS9, an electric full-size luxury SUV, is among the brand's latest offerings.

The E-HS9 is equipped with dual permanent magnet synchronous AC motors and a 99-kWh liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery pack, delivering a combined total power of 551 bhp and total torque of 553 lb-ft. It has a top speed of 200 km/h and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. Additionally, it has an impressive fuel efficiency of 2 L/100km equivalent overall and a 441-kilometer heavy-duty range.

The E-HS9 has several drive modes, including Sport, ECO, Comfort, Allroad, Offroad, and Custom, that allow for complete customization of the driving experience. It also includes multiple interior ambient lighting settings and different acoustics to match each mode.

With a length of 5209 mm, width of 2010 mm, and height of 1731 mm on a 3110 mm wheelbase, the E-HS9 is a spacious vehicle. The third row has its own device charging ports, climate control, and enough legroom to comfortably accommodate two adults. The boot has a 438-liter capacity with the third row fixed, which can be expanded to 1814 liters with both the second and third rows folded flat. Even with the third row folded, the second row's comfort levels, including backrest incline and legroom, remain unaffected, and three full-size golf bags can fit lengthwise.
