Join Little Wandering Wren for her 114th Thailand Staycation at the Holiday Inn Resort Patong Beach, Phuket.

Won't you take a wander with me as I show you around this gem in the heart of Patong? It's an oasis that's stood the test of time, whilst I was staying they were celebrating their 34th birthday. I loved that I could walk across the road to the famous Patong beach.

Gotta be honest, I would always choose my hotels carefully in Patong, I'm not much into the wild party nightlife scene that Patong used to deliver. Patong is still quiet and this suits me, the beach is wondrous. One of the reasons Patong became so popular is this beach and I love this bay, you can walk for miles!

The resort is huge and has nice grounds and some artsy touches to discover. There are six swimming pools I am told! I loved my room, it felt brand new as you will see, and the private swimming area was exclusive to those staying in the Busakorn Wing. It is like a mini-resort within a resort. The pool is big you can swim all the way around and end up at the bar - how perfect is that.

Breakfast was great and the food at Terrazzo Restaurant for the SKAL event I attended was fabulous. I returned the next night to repeat eat Phuket's best burger! I also felt very Covid safe at this SHA+ hotel. The staff were friendly and fabulous and could not do enough for you.
