Lebanon - Hezbollah Mentor Praises Kidnappers

(14 Oct 1994) Sheikh Fadlallah, mentor of the pro-Iranian Hezbollah, on Friday
(14/10) praised the Hamas guerrillas who have abducted an Israeli
soldier and are threatening to kill him. In his Friday sermon to
the Moslem faithful in the Beir Al Abed Mosque in the mainly
Shiite suburbs of Beirut, Fadlallah said "we bless the hands of
the kidnappers, who know how to deal with their enemies."

saying the soldier was not kidnapped in gaza strip and that he
might be inside israeli-controlled areas. he also said the
israelis are blaming the kidnapping on the plo in order to start a
plo-hamas confrontation. he also reminded the his followers about
the kidnapping of sheikh abdel karim obeid and mustafa al dirani
who he said were kidnapped by israeli commandos."why the u.s. did
not denounce these incidents", he demanded. he added we say to
hamas strugglers, bless your hands who kidnapped the israeli
soldier because these hands know how to deal with their enemies.
