Bak kut teh (BKT) is a pork rib dish cooked in broth infused with chineseherbs.
The name literally translates from the Hokkien dialect as "meat bone tea", and at its simplest, consists of meaty pork ribs simmered in a complex broth of herbs and spices.
Bak kut teh is commonly consumed in both Malaysia and Singapore.[3] The origin of bak kut teh is unclear, but it is believed to have been brought over from Fujian, China.
