SMARTLAM – a FP7 European project dedicated to smart manufacturing of 3D microsystems

SmartLam (Smart production microsystems of based on laminated polymer films) is a European collaborative project that was successfully finished end of January 2016.

The main mission was to establish a flexible, modular manufacturing system to produce functional devices based on stacks of polymer films. By combining different, exchangeable manufacturing, assembly and inspection modules a highly flexible production cell for the cost effective manufacturing of small to medium scale series was established and demonstrated.
