Hydrologists and emergency officials along the Wasatch Front said they expected rivers and creeks to move over the next week even faster than they have been.

Officials with the Utah Snow Survey estimate about 55 percent of the water on the mountains across the state has come down since April, but supervisor Jordan Clayton said we still have roughly the same amount of snow on the slopes as we would in a regular snowpack year.

Some areas still have more than 100 inches of snow yet to come down.
