Oto, a 3 year old Andalusian, wasn't keen on the trailer. We've worked on it with the clicker, gradually asking for more, and now he goes in confidently on his own, stays on and backs off when asked. With the clicker, you can gradually ask for more so the horse always feels right and doesn't get stressed. At first I would reward any back up off the trailer but gradually I only rewarded straight ones. You can see at the end he backs out without me asking, tries backing a bit more and then when that isn't right he walks back on again.
