Hanoi Train Street And Other Adventures!

It was a late start to the day after one too many Bia Hoi the night before. I took the bus to the old quarter where the plan was to head to the famous train street, via a few other places of interest.

My journey began in the Vườn Hoa Vạn Xuân park before I came across the historic Hanoi Water Tower.

I then headed to Mural Street where I discovered some impressive art opposite a number of dog restaurants.

Needing coffee, I headed to a hidden coffee shop called Tranquil Books & Coffee which served excellent coffee in a relaxed atmosphere.

My next stop was food. I had planned on Banh Mi but I came across a restaurant I hadn't visited in 5 years; a place famous for its eel dishes.

I found myself in the areas where I had stayed on my first 2 visits to Hanoi and checked out the Hanoi train station.

This led me to train street. These days, if the train is due, you have to be taken into a cafe. It's not a scam as I first thought.

I timed it perfectly as the train was due 5 minutes after my arrival.

My journey ended at the Hoan Kiem lake.
