Looking to decorate your mantle and dining room table for the upcoming Christmas season? One of our designers, Nikki Sacksteder, has some expert tips to share! For your mantle, she suggests to start with a ball garland, pine garland, and a string of lights.Intertwine and manipulate the wire of the pine garland to hold everything in place. Add in several large ball/ornaments to sprinkle throughout the garland and hang off the mantle as desired. Vary the size and color of the ball garland and ornaments. “For a cohesive look, decorate your mantel with garland and stockings that complement the color of your Christmas tree decorations,” she suggests. And add an anchor, either to the middle – like a mirror or wreath – or anchor both ends with decor like candles or lanterns.

Sacksteder’s expert tips for decorating a dining room table for Christmas include: start with a festive runner down on the table; then get a ball garland, with varying sizes, colors and textures of the decorative balls; then take large candlesticks and weave the garland through each one; add some decorative trees at one end or both; voila!
