Dikuku Recipe:

*PREHEAT YOUR OVEN AT 180°C
*BUTTER AND LINE YOUR BAKING PAN.

INGREDIENTS
500g of flour (3 cups +2 tablespoons)
100g sugar (1/2 cup)
4 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt

WET INGREDIENTS
200g butter
2 eggs (use 1 egg white for brushing)
200ml buttermilk
2 tbsp of vanilla essence

METHOD
-Mix all the dry ingredients
-Add butter, mix until the mixture resembles crumbs.
-On a jar or bowl mix all the wet ingredients together.
Pour the wet mixture to the flour
-Using a cooking pin mix these together gently until everything is combined.
-Sprinkle your surface with flour, roll out the dough gently with your hands or a rolling pin.
-Use a cookie cutter or cup to cut and shape your scones.
-Put your scones on the prepared pan
-Brush with the egg wash ( Egg white + 1 tsp of milk)
-Bake your scones at 180°C for 20-25 minutes.

THIS RECIPE WILL YIELD 12 -14 SCONES.
