Composer's Comments:

"(For all intents and purposes, please feel free to refer to song as u7228, as well as display the song title as such. I put the original song title here for my own personal reference)

This is a satirical piece about the whimsical and fickle nature of happy memories. While seemingly chaotic and random in nature, in the end it is still lighthearted and gets one excited amidst the rapidly-developing concepts.

I put a few references to common rhythm game music tropes all around the piece, jazz influence, classical influence, Japanese influence, as well as extremely complex rhythm sections. All these however are reinterpreted in a nonstandard manner to form a full-filled pot of funny chaos.

Particularly, I wanted to balance the violence of certain sections with an overall stance on lightheartedness.

The original song title was meant to be a nudge towards how certain rhythm game songs often use Chuunibyou song titles that actually carry little meaning to the song. \爨 sounds incredibly cryptic, but it actually has no significant meaning whatsoever (just an uncommon punctuation mark and a complex-looking Chinese character). Due to display issues and after much consideration I settled for the title of “u7228”, which is the Unicode for 爨 and serves a similar purpose.

Memory doesn’t always make sense together. We sometimes end up spending our days fruitlessly, whiling away our time in hedonistic behaviour and then coming to regret it afterwards. We think these times are unproductive, or a waste of time (“why did I do that?”), but everything we do comes to define us in the end, no matter how disjointed. Steve Jobs was a typographer before he started Apple. If not for his lessons in Typography, Apple wouldn’t have had a focus on minimalism and design. In that sense, there is significance, purpose and intent in having mindless fun. In this particular song, I took that very seriously."

Personal comments:

I was initially disappointed that u7228 was lvl 10 in Deemo instead of the monstrous lvl 11 I expected it to be, but after playing it myself, all I can say is good luck to all of you.
