Bury St Edmunds is a historic market town in Suffolk, England, brimming with a captivating blend of history, culture, and modern vibrancy. The town's crown jewel is undoubtedly the Abbey Gardens, an award-winning public park built on the ruins of the Abbey of St Edmund. Visitors can wander among the extensive ruins of what was once one of Europe's most powerful Benedictine monasteries, including the impressive Great Gate and Norman Tower. Within the gardens, you will also find St Edmundsbury Cathedral, a site of continuous worship for over a millennium, which showcases a blend of ancient and modern architecture, including its striking Millennium Tower.
