Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon: Part 42: The Super Bonus Round Grand Finale! (w/ Full Epilogue)

After getting all 15000 Gems and all 149 Dragon Eggs in the entire game, they unlock an extra portal in Midnight Mountain that leads into the TRUE final level of the game: Super Bonus Round!

When you first get there, Bianca meets you there to explain that thieves have entered into this world after the Sorceress was beaten. Your first task is to kill the thieves and take their Gems for yourself. Get them all, and you will unlock a door that leads to to Hunter playing with a submarine.

Using that sub is the same as using it in Lost Fleet, except you're using it in normal water instead of green acid. Destroy all of the red subs that you find underwater, and they'll give you loads and loads of Gems, too.

Afterwards, that will be enough to unlock another door where Hunter has you race against really fast yetis with a jet-powered snowboard. You pretty much have to be using your turbo the whole time while trying to kill any yeti in this race if you have any chance of winning it. You can pick up any Gems you missed in the race after you're done, but winning it will give you yet another huge sum of them.

The fourth SBR challenge after getting those Gems is to use a mighty Superflame/Superfly combo powerup to shoot down more Sheep UFOs. Those gems unlock a door that leads to that powerup, and blowing up the sheep also gives you EVEN MORE GEMS!

Those will be the very last amount of gems that you get in the entire game! They will unlock the final door of the level, and the absolute final challenge in the entire game...

YOU MUST DEFEAT THE SORCERESS IN A REMATCH!

She has her own UFO, now, and Bianca has supplied to Spyro a magic one. You must face each other above a huge pink pit of the most corrosive lava ever known.

This fight isn't... TOO hard... but I was still pretty close to dying in it. If you can send her into the lava, she'll be done for good this time...

And, you'll also get your 150th and TRUE FINAL EGG! This one is a very special egg, as it contains not one, but TWO TWIN BABY DRAGONS! YIN AND YANG!

Then suddenly, Spyro is all the way back home in the Dragon Worlds, where the babies he's gathered finally gets to meet their parents, though one of the parents gives the baby back to Spyro after it burps on him.

...This was actually a pretty bizarre way to end the game before the credits.

That's why I got all of those Skill Points. Getting enough of them lets you read an epilogue from the Atlas, but getting all of them gives you an extended epilogue that provides more on many of the game's major and minor characters and what they've been up to after Spyro beat the Sorceress. Even Spyro's previous arch-enemies, Gnasty Gnorc and Ripto, make a grand reappearance, here!

The very final page has all of the main characters waving "THANKS FOR PLAYING!": Spyro, Sparx, Hunter, Bianca, Shelia, Sgt. Byrd, Bentley and Agent 9 are all together for one last time.

This is their farewell to the player, and Insomniac's farewell to Spyro the Dragon itself, before they moved on into creating Ratchet & Clank...

I'm very uncertain that I'll do any playthroughs of Spyro’s post-PS1 games, including the Legend of Spyro series and Skylanders. All I can hope is that maybe he could get his own remastered trilogy of the PS1 games just as Crash did in the N-Sane Trilogy.
