Billy Bragg sends a love-bomb to our independence movement with heartfelt comradery from across the Tweed. (Apologies for changing the link - it had 860 views but the sound was crap). Its a complete performance with only a link to the previous act, Jenny Lindsay, taken out. Jenny had spoken about the tyranny of tartan kitsch; Scotland as sometimes being what Peter Arnott called," a costume not a country" during his performance of a letter from Walter Scott to the independence movement (to also be uploaded soon!). Bragg had started his act by comparing the vacuity of Tartan kitsch to the stereotypes of English society presented by English costume drama.
