This is supposedly one of the top performing AC1750 router (in fact the box suggest it’s the best performing AC1750 Wi-Fi router).

Review:
1. Great USB 2.0 or 3.0 speeds. I get around 20-30MBps on USB 2.0 and upto 40MBps on 3.0. But this is not consistent and fluctuates significantly at times and get disconnected or generate errors like "Insufficient System Resources exist to complete the operation". Essentially while transferring large amount of data, it can easily break the connection permanently and you have to unplug the HDD and plug it again to gain access! This defies its purpose of being a readily available NAS and personal cloud storage because of unreliable connection. Seems to be a firmware related issue and I hope that this gets resolved ASAP.

2. Can only detect USB 2.0 hubs or USB 3.0 hub connected to USB 2.0 devices - When I connect my USB 3.0 device with auxiliary power to the hub as well, it spins fine but doesn't get detected by the router. However when I use a standard MicroUSB cable instead of MicroUSB 3.0, it works fine. So no USB 3.0 device supported through hub.

3. Detects my All in One Printers with Fax just fine and using "Shareport Plus" utility, I can use all the features of it like a locally connected printer. This is different from a standard Linux Print Server functionality which uses a TCP port of a router and cannot function as a scan server. I believe it can support multiple printers and HDDs using a USB hub which should make it a very powerful device to connect to all the PCs (can still not use on Smartphones as you need native printer drivers for the platform).

4. While the AC 433 performance is usually better than N150 or N300, having a closer N150 router as well gives good upload speeds probably because ready boost may not work well for uploads through my laptop.

5. Compared to 850L, this doesn't have the significant performance issues making 850L a very poor performing AC1200 router (atleast the B1 version I tried). Performance was consistently weaker than even a pocket 506L router from Dlink which was quite shocking on 850L (more info on 850L unboxing video I will upload shortly).

Summary:
Lack of Application level QoS, Bridge mode, DNS Relay functionalities significantly make this router less capable than the A1 revision for which we also have DDWRT firmware available.
USB Storage functionality is quite unusable when used over SAMBA file sharing (DLNA seems to work fine). My lesser performing media player works flawlessly despite giving lesser speeds over Gigabit Ethernet connection.
