1 Rupee Coins Republic India 1982 to 1991

The 1 Rupee Coins were released with a new design and were minted during 1982 to 1991. The coins were made of Copper-Nickel weighing 6 grams with 26 mm diameter and circular in shape.

On the Obverse, Ashoka Lion Capital with lettering भारत INDIA सत्यमेव जयते. At the reverse, Denomination and Date with lettering रुपया 1 RUPEE.

The 1982 coin from Bombay mint is an extremely rare coin and valued approx, Rs 20000 to Rs 40000. The 1984 and 1986 Hyderabad mint coins, 1988, 1989 and 1990 Noida mint coins are considered as scarce and valued approx Rs 100 to Rs 500. Rest all the coins are considered as common and valued approx Rs 10 in UNC condition.
