At least three people have been shot after an incident at LAX airport in Los Angeles, say police. The shooting started at 9.30am in Terminal 3, and travellers were swiftly evacuated from the airport. It is also being reported that the gunman has been killed by law enforcement officers. LA police spokesperson Officer Norma Eisenman said that the suspect was apprehended after being "engaged by airport police," and that a bomb squad was carrying out a sweep of the area. President Barack Obama was briefed on the incident and White House officials are in touch with law enforcement officials on the ground. Report by Louise Hulland.
