2024 Thinkpad P1 G7 "Review": I'm conflicted about this laptop

The 2024 Thinkpad P1 G7 is Lenovo's 3rd physical iteration for the P1 and the former X1 Extreme family. It's also the first laptop to feature LPCAMM2 memory. For someone who's used Thinkpads for a very long time but is pretty lax on what Lenovo has been doing to the brand recently, is this design iteration any good?
