The consecration of the grand Ram Temple in Ayodhya is scheduled for January 22 next year, as per temple construction committee chairperson Nripendra Mishra's statement to PTI on Tuesday. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is anticipated to participate in the 'pran pratishtha' event on any day between January 20-24, with the final date pending communication to the Prime Minister's Office. Mishra also mentioned that the construction of the ground floor of the three-storey temple will conclude by the end of December. The temple is expected to open for devotees on January 24 after the consecration of the Ram Lalla idol. Furthermore, preparations are underway to design an apparatus that will be installed on the temple's 'shikhar.' This apparatus will briefly focus sunlight on the deity's forehead in the sanctum sanctorum on each Ram Navami. Mishra noted that this apparatus is being constructed in Bengaluru under the supervision of scientists.
