Now… how about these old songs? Hi, my name is Dennis and welcome to the nineties! House music, happy hardcore, grunge… no please, not those 90's. Progressive rock to be exact! Yes, that’s what I’m talking about.

In 1996 I had the privilege to write some nice demo’s with 2 friends of mine, Arnout & Ronald. We called the project DJEFF 2. Arnout, our composer at the time, had written a number of pieces. Ronald wrote the guitar parts and I (over) played the drums.

DJEFF 2's musical career was short-lived. We did a total of 2.5 performances. The one half was planned, but eventually fell through. Additionally there have been some small gigs on birthdays, but that was it.

Over the years I kept feeling there was more to some of the pieces we did. After submitting the idea to Arnout, in march 2019 I started working on the album.

The album contains re-arranged and newly composed pieces. Arnout came up with a beautiful new painting and Ronald developed the painting into an album cover.

We've strung together some pieces of our history and we call it errr… , some pieces of our history strung together: DJEFF 2, Expired Gas Station!

Hold on to your horses and be totally uncool with uncle Dennis, Arnout & Ronald!
