In 2019, a Union Pacific "Big Boy" locomotive returned to steam for the first time in almost 60 years. Here are a few highlights from the maiden trip of UP 4-8-8-4 #4014 - the "Big Boy." #4014 doubleheaded with 4-8-4 #844 from Cheyenne, WY to Ogden, UT and back again to help celebrate the sesquicentennial of the completion of the Transcontinental Railroad in 1869. This video has clips from the test run on May 2nd, the outbound trip to Ogden, and the return home after the 150th anniversary celebration.
