Garmin Vivoactive 4 / Venu -How to configure heart rate features

In this video, I'll go over the main heart rate features found on the Garmin Vivoactive 4 or Venu. I'll explain the following features:


1. Overview of the HR sensor & tips for wearing - high level explanation of how an optical HR monitor works and tips how to wear it. Basically keep a snug fit and regularly wipe down the device and prevent lotions or other liquids on your wrist.


2. How to view HR data using the HR widget to view hi / lo, resting, avg hr over a period of time. Out of the box, you can access the HR widget by swiping UP until you see the HR graph.


3. How to set the abnormal HR alert - when your HR spikes after a period of inactivity.


4. How to Broadcast your heart rate to another garmin device - great when biking and you want to view your HR data on a Garmin Edge or GPSMAP 66. Not all Garmin devices support this feature.


5. How to turn off the HR sensor - note this will affect several features on the device, so check the manual if you really want to do this.


Most of the settings can be found by pressing & holding the BACK button and navigate to GEAR | WRIST HEAR RATE
