In today’s travel vlog, we’re showing you Vientiane, Laos, a place that’s often described online as boring and not worth visiting. But we want to show you why the capital of Laos is completely underrated and, in our opinion, might even be the most underestimated city in Southeast Asia, making it a perfect destination for a relaxing and slow-paced trip.

We start our journey at the Vientiane Night Markets and are surprised not only by how big they are, but also by the huge variety of clothes available. From branded pieces to traditional outfits, there’s something for everyone. The best part? Prices are negotiable, and with a bit of bargaining, shopping here becomes a really fun experience.

After that, we enjoy a beautiful sunset along the Mekong River before heading to our favorite restaurant in Vientiane, Indochina, for dinner.

The next day, our exploration continues as we show you the best place for breakfast, impressive sights like the Stupa and Ho Phra Keo, and our favorite massage spot, where you can get a 60-minute full body massage for just around €6.

We also break down how affordable Vientiane really is and show you how you can enjoy a high-end lifestyle, including shopping and food, while spending only about €35 per person for the entire day.

This is Vientiane, Laos, a place that’s perfect for switching off, slowing down, and without a doubt the most affordable destination we’ve visited on our world trip so far.
