1969 Martin D-45, Brazilian Rosewood | Carl Miner

Описание к видео 1969 Martin D-45, Brazilian Rosewood | Carl Miner

At the time of its first run in the pre-war years, Martin's D-45 was the most luxurious guitar available, built with the finest, straightest-grained Brazilian rosewood and Adirondack spruce, and accented with pearl inlay from front to sides to back, and top to bottom. They brought it back for a second run in 1968, this time with a Sitka spruce soundboard, but otherwise sporting all the same deluxe appointments and craftsmanship. Pre-war Martins may hog the spotlight and fetch the highest prices, but vintage collectors who are in search of the tone would do well to consider a later model like this one. George Gruhn said that first run D-45s cost "more than 20 times as much as a recent issue D-45, even though there is relatively little difference in design."
