Rondeau from Purcell's Abdelazer – performed by Allegro Strings

Let’s travel back in time today – all the way to summer 2020. With the new national lockdown in place, at Kent Music we were determined to keep music education going, no matter the odds! We ran several online courses, including Allegro Strings; a six-week course for string players aged 8-13.

Led by experienced Kent Music tutor Lori Noriss, over the course the students learned this new piece from scratch, delving not only into the playing techniques but also the history of the music.

We’re delighted to present the recording of their work today – Purcell's classic ‘Rondeau’ from the Abdelazer suite.
