STATUE MAN OF INDIA | ICONIC STATUES BY RAM V. SUTAR
This video explores the legendary creations of Padma Bhushan Ram V. Sutar, popularly known as the “Statue Man of India.” His monumental sculptures represent India’s history, culture, leadership, spirituality, and national pride. These iconic statues are not only works of art but also symbols of unity, democracy, heritage, and civilizational values.
The highlight is the Statue of Unity, dedicated to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, located at Kevadiya, Gujarat. With a height of 182 meters, it is the world’s tallest statue, made of bronze, symbolising national integration and strong leadership.
The Statue of Prosperity, dedicated to Nadaprabhu Kempegowda, founder of Bengaluru, stands at Kempegowda International Airport. This 108-foot bronze statue is recorded in the World Book of Records, London, representing visionary urban planning and prosperity.
The Lord Rama Statue in Goa, standing 77 feet tall, made of bronze, was unveiled by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Located at the Shree Samsthan Gokarna Partagali Jeevottam Math, Canacona, South Goa, it reflects Indian spirituality and cultural heritage.
The unique Veena Statue at Lata Mangeshkar Chowk, Ayodhya is 12 meters high, weighs 14 tonnes, and features 92 white marble lotuses, symbolising the 92 years of Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar’s life.
The Maharaja Ranjit Singh bust, made of bronze, stands 21 feet high, representing the founder of the Sikh Empire and highlighting bravery and unity.
The Krishna–Arjuna Monument at Brahma Sarovar, Kurukshetra, Haryana, is 35 feet tall, weighs 45 tonnes, and depicts Lord Krishna and Arjuna on a chariot with four bronze horses, symbolising the Bhagavad Gita and Dharma.
