Video walking around Whalers Village in Kaanapali Beach, Maui, which is deserted from Tourists. Hawaii currently has a mandatory 14-day quarantine on people traveling to the islands which has caused tourism to stop and hotels to close. Many shops and restaurants have also closed causing places to be completely deserted.

Hawaii has plans to let tourism open with restrictions beginning October 15, 2020 (three days after this video was shot). IF a traveler can prove a negative test results taken within 72 hours of arriving to Hawaii then they can bypass the mandatory 14-day quarantine. The test must be taken by an agency approved by the State of Hawaii.
Currently, Hawaiian Airlines, United Airlines, and Alaska Airlines are going to be offering rapid tests in certain airports before you get on the plane to come to Hawaii. The tests run about $250 and can be taken while you're at the airport checking in for your flight.

The mall has been open since May 15th but there are only 7 stores currently open for business. All the restaurants are closed and even the ABC store and Food Court is closed.
