Land Rover Discovery 2 and 5th Gen 4Runner TRD Pro take on Vancouver Island Trails.

Описание к видео Land Rover Discovery 2 and 5th Gen 4Runner TRD Pro take on Vancouver Island Trails.

In this unusual trio, we take my 2000 Land Rover Discovery II 4.0L V8 and set out with a pair of 5th generation Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro’s. A test of old technology vs new. The Land Rover is lifted 2” and sits on 33” BFG mud terrains (285/65/R16) and has both SLS and ACE and is equipped with off road traction control and a center differential lock.

The two Toyota’s are the off road TRD pro variants of the 4 Runner which feature an aggressive off road traction control system called A-Trac, locking rear differentials and “crawl control” which is essentially a low speed cruise control for off road driving. One of them has a 3” lift and upgraded all terrains, and one has only a suspension levelling kit and slightly bigger all terrains. This particular truck has a malfunctioning rear differential lock, so it relies on the driver, and the traction system. It is disadvantaged compared to its twin. Take a look at the results. All of us aired down to about 20 PSI.

Enjoy!
