In april of 1980, the world came to a standstill in South Kensington. 6 gunmen of the DRFLA took everyone inside the embassy hostage, leading to a siege, and one of the greatest hostage rescue operations in history. For the 40th anniversary of this event, I'll be walking through each day, describing the situations in detail, and providing a full overview of what happened.

This entire Documentary is a motion driven graphical project. Partially because of the ease of displaying information, but also as the 2020 Coronavirus Pandemic is still running strong. So I obviously had a lot of time to make this...

Related wikipedia pages were searched through to gather information about each subject. SAS members, the DRFLA, history of Iran.... many different topics that I got lost in while doing research. I would highly recommend reading some of the accounts from the siege, and watching interviews if you can.
