Urvi’s decision to pursue engineering stemmed from the same situation that most of us find ourselves in, i.e. being good at Science and Mathematics meant one had to pursue a career in Engineering.

Urvi breaks down her thought process at the time when she was graduating from D.J. Sanghvi College of Engineering, and how she ruled out career paths to finally zero down on an MBA. While her CAT preparation was on track as she was scoring in the north of 97 percentiles, consistently.

The Group Discussion-Personal Interview (GDPI) phase was where Urvi felt lost. Not having people around her who had been on this journey and from whom Urvi could have drawn experiences, caused her to be anything but sure-footed. Nevertheless, she managed to secure a seat in one of the Premier Management Institutes of the country, IIM Indore.

Urvi talks about the mental shift she underwent from wanting a career in Finace, to a career in Marketing while at IIM Indore. Her internship with Colgate-Palmolive, gave her invaluable consumer insights that helped later in her career.

Urvi shares her IIM Indore memories of participating in extracurriculars, preparing for placements and witnessing the annual Leadership event at IIM Indore called, Ashwamedha. During an uncertain and unpredictable placement season, Urvi secured her final placement offer from ITC Ltd.
