Wotama in the Deanbilla Pursuit 2022

Weber ketch WOTAMA entered the Deanbilla Pursuit 2022. After a promising start in a 10-12 knot nor'-easterly, a 25-knot sou'-easterly struck, and we lost time and ground dousing the spinnaker. Eventually we got back on course, beating to windward under genoa and mizzen, and were the third and last boat to finish the pursuit under sail, behind Tasman Seabirds JOANNE BRODIE and PAGAN. Once at anchor in Deanbilla Bay, sundowners and prize-giving were enjoyed aboard LAURABADA, with thanks for their hospitality to Ivan and Anne. Thanks to John and Peter for footage and stills.
