During this talk, Vikram Vij shares how it took 24 years to go from line cook to CEO to CBC's reality TV show Dragon's Den and the principles that allowed him to do it. His culinary journey started in India, he was beaten and hardened in Austria and sharpened and shaped in Canada. His shares how his love, passion and utmost care for Indian food motivated him. Vikram explains how perseverance, hardened by time, not scared of failure and patience are the key elements to becoming a sword and being true to who you are. Vikram Vij did his culinary diploma from Austria and then came to work at the Banff Springs Hotel as a line cook. Finally after working in the Industry for a long time, He decided to open his first Vij's restaurant in Vancouver, Canada in 1994, Soon he met Meeru and they both co-own Vij's,Rangoli and Vij's Lantern. Both the market and restaurant are also in Vancouver.

Vikram has been a judge on various cooking shows and other reality TV shows on CBC and the Food Television networks.
